Im writing this on friday the 7th- this is my holiday as I worked on the 4th- I spent the evening at a farewell BBQ for a good friend who is moving away.
Well, the fourth being on a Tuesday this year made it a little weird for celebrating, but on Sunday the 2nd we sat on our dock at the lake in the dark and watched all the fireworks all over the lake. There was a particularly beautiful display close by and the kids ooooed and aaaaahed very loudly and even clapped and cheered. I don't know if they knew who it was that was clapping and cheering but their display just kept getting better and better as the night went on. It was very fun. Thanks for asking!

With several of my daughter's friends parents. It was good. My wife and I prayed before we went that we could be spiritual lights. One of the parents began to ask us about our faith in Christ and we got to talk about it awhile. It was amazing--an answer to prayer. Visit me at christianchallenge.blogstream.com
I spent the fourth writhing in pain in a hospital bed....but fortunately, I could see the fireworks from my window! Ironically enough, it is a better view than the one from the park. Go figure!
